Derek Cheriton
Derek comes from three generations of farmers who farmed in Fawley, Nr Henley-on-Thames for over one hundred years. On leaving school at fifteen years of age, Derek was employed by the owners of Fawley Estate as a trainee caring for a herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle. Derek soon learned that this was not the route for him & moved onto operating farm machinery. By the time he left, some twenty years later, he was farm manager. In 1995 Derek started DRC Contracting & began crop spraying and spreading across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire.

Oli Rait
From a farmhouse background in Scotland, Oli grew up around farming and forestry. Ignoring career advice to work with machinery and nature; he has a degree in Economics, 20 years commercial experience in the travel industry, a post-grad in education and is a qualified teacher. Remote teaching prep school kids from his garden sauna-shed during Covid was the last straw and he has been spraying, topping, pruning, shearing and harvesting in the great outdoors around Henley-on-Thames with Derek and a local Christmas tree farm happily ever since.
