Spraying pitches and paddocks_edited.jpg

6m all-terrain sprayer

6m all terrain sprayer. Ideal for areas that are enclosed or odd shapes such as paddocks & pitches. The sprayer is mounted in a 4WD Kubota RTV with TopCon GPS and auto-steer, which ensure even coverage with minimal oversprays,  equating to cost-effective application of herbicides.

Even and effective coverage

GPS, auto-steer and selective nozzles work together to  maintain consistently even application of herbicides and minimise overspray.

When everything is working in harmony, the application of machine and technology also make for time efficiencies.  It's not infallable, tree canopies can do an effective job of blocking satellite signals.

We are National Register of Spray Operators (NRoSO) and have NPTC (National Proficiency Tests Council) certificates of competence in PA1 (Safe Use of Pesticides), PA6 (Hand-Held Applicators) qualifications for knapsack sprayers and PA2 for boom spraying.

Application rates

As little as possible, as much as necessary

Herbicides can be eye-wateringly expensive, and no-one wants more herbicides entering the ground than necessary. Farmers will usually use their own agronomist to advise on herbicides. DRC also have agronomist consultations each season to check we are using the latest and most effective chemicals for different applications and situations.  Amenity grounds, livestock, target weeds, weather etc.

One of the key benefits of using the TopCon system on the Kubota is that we can dial-in the application rate and the system will automatically adjust application according to the speed being travelled across the ground and auto-switch off areas already covered.

It's got to work for you

The time it takes to cover an area can vary significantly given different terrain, travelability, layout, application rate, access, tree coverage etc.
